Louisville Auto Insurance

Auto Insurance

Louisville Drivers Must Have Auto Insurance

If you’re the owner and operator of a motor vehicle in Louisville, you must have at least the minimum auto insurance required by the state of Kentucky:

  • $25,000 for one person for bodily injury damages
  • $50,000 for bodily injury damages per accident
  • $25,000 for property damage
  • Basic reparations benefits for personal injury (aka PIP insurance)

  • A policy with a single limit of $60,000

The state requires this liability insurance to protect you and other drivers in the event of a crash. Be aware that this is the minimum requirement. You are encouraged to carry more liability protection if you are a high net worth individual, if you drive more than most people, or if you have a young driver in your home. This limits the amount of damages that would have to come out of your wallet if you reach your policy cap in a serious accident.

Choose Full Coverage for Better Protection

We also recommend that our Louisville clients add full coverage for improved protection, such as when your own vehicle is damaged.

Full coverage auto insurance includes:

  • Collision coverage for vehicle damage or replacement
  • Comprehensive coverage for vehicle damage or loss due to vandalism, theft, storms, and many natural disasters

Most folks in Louisville rely on their vehicles to go to work and do their daily activities. Full coverage helps make sure you’re not without a car for a long period after an accident because you can’t afford to repair or replace yours. Do you finance your vehicle? Your lender probably requires full coverage insurance.

We Have Many Auto Insurance Products Just for You

We still work with those carriers, but we can give you a better selection that lets us tailor a policy for you. Independent agents are also known for their extraordinary personal service, and you’ll be treated like family here.
